His Splendor Sunday School
They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His Splendor. (Isaiah 6:3) A new Sunday School class begins April 27. This class is s spin-off from our Women’s Fall Bible Study. Many ladies asked for more study time together in God’s Word. Many ladies have also asked to bring men folk…so, yes, by all means, BOYS ARE ALLOWED in this class. Initially our study material will be taken from the Upper Room devotional. This study is already in your hands and you read it daily. We will discuss the daily devotion from Wednesday, March 12, The Ultimate Map (see page 70 in the Upper Room). Spanish Conversation Class
Are you interested in learning some basic Spanish in order to be able to have conversations with the native speakers? If so, you may want to sign up for this class which will be offered Thursday nights, April 3 through May 29, 6:30 – 8:30 here at the church. Come with a willingness to learn to speak Spanish and practice it both in and out of class. There is a sign-up sheet for this class at the Welcome Desk. Senior Adult Cruise
Pastor Dan and Linda are hosting a cruise November 8-15, 2008 . The one-week cruise of the Eastern Caribbean will include visits to the Bahamas , St. Thomas and St. Marten. Two years ago, 58 of us went to the Western Caribbean . Both times this replaced the Senior Retreat which has been held at Daytona Beach . Bible studies will be conducted during days at sea. A few places are still available for inside cabins, ocean view cabins, and balcony cabins. Please see Linda or Dan at church or phone them at 750.5964. Registrations need to be made by the end of March.
Nicaraguan Trip Scheduled
Would you like to experience Christ’s love across cultural and national borders? Have you felt the interest in joining the Nicaraguan Team and becoming involved in this life-changing journey? This year’s Nicaraguan Trip is now being scheduled for Friday, October 3, through Saturday, October 11, 2008 . Once again a promise of an enriched mountain top experience is being anticipated. The first informational meeting will be Saturday, April 26, at 9 a.m. We are inviting all of you with an interest in this trip to attend.
